Tuition & Fees Tuition

Our costs for tuition and room & board are at the low end of what you might expect for a prep program. Our tuition is comparable to many day schools, and our room & board and uniform costs are comparable to what it would cost you to house and clothe your son in your own home. If you would like more specific information about current tuition fees, please view the cost breakdown below. If your son is an appropriate candidate for our program, we will work with you to the best of our ability to find an affordable solution.

Tuition Provides Only 70% of Our Operating Costs

Our policy is to try to ensure that our tuition revenue is set at only about 70% of the full annual cost of operating the program. We make up the difference through donations to the program and student and family participation in fundraisers.

Tuition, Room & Board

The tuition and room and board provide residential facilities in a climate-controlled home. Rooms have a bunk bed sleeping arraignment, are cable television ready, and are network capable for students possessing laptop computers. The home has a furnished common living room area as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

Meals

A meal plan includes three daily meals. Staff will cook two meals a day while a third meal will be prepared by the student-athletes as part of the program. We use this to help mature each athlete and help better prepare them for independent living. Athletes will have access to food in the team home at all times.

College Prep Counseling

Ongoing college-preparatory counseling is provided. We will advise and guide each family through the process and assist in every phase of getting the student-athlete admitted to his institution of choice.

Fees for Uniform Costs

Uniform fees provide a complete supply of athletic team wear: travel suit, jacket and pants, t-shirts, shorts, and sweats. All items will be ordered to fit and customized with name and team logo.

The following is NOT included with payment for tuition

  • Academic materials and supplies (e.g. SAT & ACT study or testing)

  • Personal Travel Expenses - Parents should budget for trips home on "major leaves" as well as weekend leaves. All airport or bus station runs are billed to you at $40.00 round-trip.

  • Personal Purchases - snacks, supplies for personal hygiene, etc.

  • Primary Medical/Health Insurance

  • Allowance Accounts - The Franklin Program will not issue loans or credits for spending to its athletes.
